Prowwwwwwler!!!
This is a seriously heart-pounding workout! I had to laugh the first time John tried it… he was breathing hard, but had just enough breath to gasp, “And I thought I was pretty fit!” The thing teaches you what your limits are, pretty quickly.
It may not look like your idea of a good time… but it is kinda fun.

Im can see where it would get you’re heart pounding. Would sure be a change of pace. Looks like some hard fun. Just watch out for traffic!

LOL – it’s a quiet residential street, so the cars go pretty slowly. Plus, John and I watch out for each other.
It’s quite challenging: I really feel it in my quads, calves and glutes… not to mention abs. The constant whole body tension makes it tough to draw a deep breath.
Beats the hell out of doing intervals on – say – an exercise bike, though, as there’s a goal: to move the thing over a particular distance. The focus on an objective makes it easier to dig in, vs. going nowhere as hard as I can for a specific number of seconds.

i am thinking this needs to hit the streets of san fancisco. how can you call it a workout on a level street???
the neighbors have to be thinking i would rather have that crack house back instead of these fitness crazies out there pushing some dumb sled : – )

Actually, the next block over, the street slopes downward about 15 degrees. We figure it will be perfect for pushing the Prowler up. Not quite ready for that yet, though. For now, baby steps.

I bet the neighbors are confused!

LOL – I expect they think we’re slightly insane. The “WTF?!” looks we get from the occupants of passing cars are priceless.
I’m getting better at it, though. Unlike in the pics, I’ve found that taking a slightly lower grip, bending at the elbows and positioning my shoulders so they’re just in front of the posts is a much more efficient stance – I can move the thing faster and farther (partly because it takes some of the tension off the abs, so I can breathe more deeply). Our next session is slated for tomorrow evening, and I think I’m going to add another 10 pounds.
