Much Ado About Protein: A REALLY Shameless Plug!
If you’re a newsletter subscriber, you’re probably aware that we’ve been doing quite a bit of renovating around here recently. Not only have we recently added a new section, “Functional Foods“, but we’re adding another new one soon (I’ll be announcing it in the next newsletter in a couple of weeks).
We’ve also integrated our protein and meal replacement reviews into the Body Building section, plus amalgamated all diet reviews into a single section; Diets.
Anyhow, all this renovating has led me to revisiting, and inevitably updating, older material with more recent clinical data and so on. One article that I worked on for a while today is entitled, “Much Ado About Protein.”
As I reviewed the material, it really struck me how important protein intake is to everyone. And by “everyone”, I don’t mean just body builders and athletes. An increased protein intake is absolutely critical to the success of any diet program, for instance. And certain milk-based proteins exhibit fantastic “good health” properties as well.
I still encounter people who believe protein is dangerous, is primarily for body builders, or will cause them to bulk up. None of these things are true.
If you’re not “sold” on the benefits of an increased protein intake, please check out the “Much Ado About Protein” article.
It’s a three-minute investment you will absolutely not regret!
