FatFoe… it’s a new “all you can eat fat burner” derived from a specialized eggplant extract. The web site marketing states it has been “clinically proven”, and there’s even a picture of a credible looking doctor providing an endorsement. It’s all-natural (another silly claim retailers use to sucker consumers into a purchase), and best of all it works — you can lose up to 10lbs. each and every week!

Sound plausible? I mean, as plausible as any other “all you can eat fat burner”, right?

Sure, and it’s supposed to. Here’s why…

In fact, FatFoe is a fictional product, created by the Federal Trade Commission & The Competition Bureau of Canada to demonstrate to consumers just how easy it is for retailers to say and do just about anything they like. It also serves as an eye-opener for your own gullibility.

Check out the FatFoe web site now and have a look for yourself!

If you clicked the “order now” button with the intention to buy, you really need to spend some time reviewing the information on the following page — it dispels each of the claims made by the “retailer.” It’s a pretty good exercise anyway, since the majority of the “bogus” claims made here are the same ones made by unscrupulous retailers of fat burners and weight loss products.

As usual the moral of the story is a simple…

If it sounds too good to be true, you can bet that it is!
